WASA Decides to Raise Taxes for Commerical Buildings

LAHORE: The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has proposed to raise charges for commercial buildings.

According to details, a document has been prepared by WASA which was submitted to the board for approval.

It was disclosed that the purpose of raising charges from the commercial buildings is to acquire funds that would be spent on the upgradation of the Ferozepur Road sewerage system.

Earlier, these charges were raised in 2002 and are to be raised in 2022, after almost 9 years.

Charges applicable are as follows

  • Single Storey, 1 Kanal (PKR 600,00)
  • Double Storey, 1 Kanal (PKR 650,000)
  • Triple Storey, 1 Kanal (PKR 700,000)
  • Four Storey, 1 Kanal (PKR 800,000)
