SAHIWAL: Construction of the Sahiwal bypass phase II has been suspended for six months due to the non-issuance of a No Objection Certificate (NOC) by the National Highway Authority (NHA) and Pakistan Railways.
It was shared in a conference that discussed 167 ongoing development projects worth PKR 52.7 billion in three districts of Sahiwal.
As per the details, Phase I of the bypass project was completed last year, but phase II could not begin due to non-approval by the NHA and Pakistan Railway.
It is important to mention that PKR 603 million has been spent so far, and almost 77% of the work has been finished, but the biggest challenge to completing the project to 100% is the NOC.
