Peshawar: The Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) has changed the PDA Auction Regulation 2021 to extend the lease time on different properties controlled by the authority.
The plan was unveiled during the 10th PDA board meeting, which was presided over by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan.
The meeting also approved proposals for enhancing its assets using a public-private partnership financing model, including:
- Amendments to the PDA Auction Regulation, 2021, for the enhanced lease of the existing lease period for various PDA-owned shops, open spaces, halls, commercial units, flats, parking lots, restaurants, cafes, sasta bazaars, wedding halls and filling stations etc.
- Revised budget estimates for 2021-22 and 2022-23 for PDA
- Revised logo of New Peshawar Valley
- Adoption of revised pay scale and allowances for PDA employees
The chief minister has directed PDA officials to streamline their operations to foster private investment and to carry out development programs effectively and sustainably.
