ISLAMABAD: The development initiatives for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s southern districts led to praise from the Federal Minister for Communication and Postal Services, Maulana Asad Mehmood, for Prime minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Speaking at a ceremony, the minister said that Shehbaz Sharif had begun the country’s development process and that the initiatives for Dera Ismail Khan would bring prosperity to the region.
He also thanked the assistance of representatives from the communications department and other pertinent ministries in planning these massive initiatives.
Besides, Prime Minister’s Advisor Amir Muqam said that the Hakla-Yarik Motorway had cut the distance between DI Khan and Islamabad back down to 2-3 hours.
He added that former premier Nawaz Sharif deserved credit for having the idea to connect the entire nation with motorways.
