RAWALPINDI: The Government of Punjab has approved the construction of new buildings for the environment department in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Faisalabad.
According to the details, the project is expected to cost an amount of PKR 1.308 billion.
Additionally, these structures will be built under the annual development program and are set to be completed by June 30, 2024.
Moreover, it was shared that environment labs will also be established in the said five divisions.
The Communication and Works Department has been instructed to forward a summary of the proposed environment complex in Faisalabad with modifications, while work on the remaining structures will proceed as planned.
It is important to note that these projects will help improve the capabilities of the environment department in these regions.
