MULTAN: Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) South Punjab Capt (retd) Saqib Zaffar announced that Lal Sohanra Park, one of the major parks of South Asia, is being prioritized for rehabilitation through measures to preserve its flora and fauna.
During his visit to the park on Monday, the ACS issued instructions for the creation of an ecosystem and maintenance of biodiversity.
The 162-thousand-acre park will also have a 65 km long fence erected around it and the “Patisar Lake” will be filled with water to make it a habitat for local and visiting birds.
Divisional Forest Officer Fazal Shah added that the fencing around the park will also help control the illegal hunting of wildlife.
According to the spokesman, the rehabilitation of Lal Sohanra Park is expected to make it a major tourist attraction.
