KARACHI: Administrator Dr. Syed Saifur Rehman stated on Monday that an emergency campaign against encroachments should be launched throughout Karachi, and encroachments beneath bridges and flyovers should be removed.
While visiting various parts of the city, he stated. “All efforts will be made to provide relief to the citizens.”
Director General Technical Services Azhar Ali Shah, Director General Parks Junaid Ullah Khan, Director Anti-Encroachment Imran Rajput, Director City Warden Raja Rustam, Chief Engineer Electrical Works Abbas Shah, and other officers were present on occasion.
He commanded that potholes on roads and pathways be repaired as soon as possible. He instructed that the pace of uplift work be expedited to improve the city’s condition as quickly as possible.
He stated that Karachi’s Central District is a large and significant district with several main highways and heavy traffic throughout the day and night.
Therefore, wherever there are potholes or damaged footpaths, they should be repaired as soon as possible, and encroachments should be eliminated from the sides of the roads and the green belts, he said.
