LAHORE: During an operation against illegal housing schemes in Ravi City, an Assistant Commissioner and several employees of the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) were injured and government vehicles destroyed allegedly by Aleem Khan’s armed men.
RUDA has already begun to take action against illegal housing schemes within its jurisdiction. But when it launched an operation against the illegal housing scheme called Park View in the Mohlanwal area along with the city administration, more than 100 people allegedly attacked the RUDA team, kidnapped, and tortured the officials.
According to details, 10 RUDA employees were injured, and the driver of the City Assistant Commissioner (AC) fainted due to head injuries.
Zubair Alamgir, the Manager Architect, suffered a fractured arm, while sub-engineer, guard, manager of structures, and cameramen faced minor injuries.
According to the officials and Ruda master plan, illegal housing societies will not be approved or tolerated in any way.
AC City Muhammad Murtaza stated that the operation against illegal housing schemes would continue while an arrest warrant had been issued for the attackers.
The capital city police Lahore, in a tweet, has also confirmed registering an FIR against the accused.
