RAWALPINDI: The tribal elders from the erstwhile tribal areas conveyed their appreciation to the Army Chief, General Asim Munir, for his efforts in addressing the concerns and needs of the local population.
The occasion for this expression of gratitude was the Grand Jirga held in Peshawar, where General Munir was in attendance.
During his address to the participants, he highlighted the substantial role played by the Pakistan Army in driving development projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Khyber district, noting that around 80 percent of such projects had been initiated by the military.
The tribal elders were heartened by the Army Chief’s commitment to fostering cooperation across various sectors, including education and employment.
Moreover, they also commended the pivotal role the Pakistan Army has played in propelling the province’s progress.
In response, the elders reaffirmed their dedication to working in tandem with the army.
