Cantonment Boards to Launch Beautification Project in Rawalpindi and Chaklala

RAWALPINDI: The station commander of Rawalpindi and Chaklala, Brigadier Salman Nazar, has directed the local cantonment boards to launch a beautification campaign in the Saddar and Chaklala Scheme-III areas.

The commander also issued instructions to improve roads and streets during a performance review meeting with the Cantonment Executive Officers of Rawalpindi and Chaklala and other officials.

In a separate meeting with the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) president, Saqib Rafiq, and other business leaders, the station commander promised to carry out all repair and beautification schemes.

Besides, Nazar assured that RCCI would also be included in committees tasked with monitoring the elimination of encroachments, renovations, and beautification initiatives, requesting the names of their representatives for the committees.

Furthermore, matters about the property tax, encroachment problems, traffic and parking concerns, harassment by CB employees, rainwater recharge, planting, and face-lifting of various projects were also discussed.

The station commander emphasized the crucial role of traders and shopkeepers in maintaining cleanliness and preserving the beauty of cantonment areas, especially in Rawalpindi Saddar and Chaklala Scheme III.
