Capital Administration Bans Property Transfers in Ghauri Town

On the direction of the Capital Development Authority, the district administration has banned the transfer of properties in the unlawful housing society – Ghauri Town.

The Directorate of Regional Planning CDA told the district administration last month in a letter that the departmental accounting committee had proposed a prohibition on the transfer of properties in all phases of Ghauri Town.

The letter urged that the granting of land registries in unlawful Ghauri Town be halted immediately.

Following receipt of the letter, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon, asked the additional deputy commissioner revenue to apply the requested ban immediately, instructing the relevant officers to strictly adhere to the prohibition orders.

It is pertinent to note here that CDA personnel have previously seized the offices of the aforementioned unlawful housing society in the wake of the illicit sale and purchase of plots.

Meanwhile, it has also been learned that the CDA has geared up to accelerate the operation against all unlawful housing societies of the Capital territory.
