Caretaker CM Punjab Approves Development Decisions in LDA Meeting

LAHORE: In a significant development, Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi presided over a governing body meeting of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) at his office.

The meeting witnessed the approval of various decisions pertaining to LDA’s development projects and the review of proposed amendments to building and zone regulations.

During the meeting, key decisions were made to ensure fair compensation to landowners based on market rates for their acquired lands.

Immediate payment approval was granted to the affected party as per the court order, and the LDA’s auction committee was authorized to conduct an auction for shops at Park and Ride Plaza in Liberty Market.

The revised plan for the construction of the Akbar Chowk Flyover was also approved, along with a comprehensive review of the four-lane Ravi Bridge project.

Furthermore, the meeting approved the acquisition of services from a marketing consultant and transaction adviser for LDA projects.

Additionally, land allocation for the establishment of petrol pumps at transportation terminal sites was assessed.

The meeting was attended by prominent figures including the chief secretary, Planning and Development chairman, secretaries of housing, finance, and local government, as well as high-ranking officials from LDA, NESPAK, and other line departments.
