Caretaker Minister Punjab Prioritizes Funds for Rehabilitation Schemes

MULTAN: Caretaker Minister for Communication and Works in Punjab, Bilal Afzal, has announced that the government will prioritize funds for rehabilitation schemes to ensure improved facilities for the masses.

In a meeting held to review the progress of ongoing highway rehabilitation projects, the caretaker minister reiterated the government’s commitment to serve the people.

He also instructed officers to identify additional public welfare schemes under the annual development program.

The minister emphasized that the quality of materials should not be compromised and that development schemes must be completed within the given time frame.

Commissioner of Multan Division Engineer, Amir Khattak, provided a briefing during the meeting and informed that 20 highway rehabilitation schemes, covering a length of 289.73 kilometers, are currently underway in the region with funds of Rs. 11,901 million.

He further added that 12 development schemes will be completed this month, while work continues at a rapid pace to complete the schemes as soon as possible.
