CBD Completes Excavation of Kalma Chowk Remodeling Project

LAHORE: The excavation for the CBD Punjab Boulevard and Kalma Chowk Underpass Remodeling Project was finished on Monday by the Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), popularly known as Central Business District (CBD).

As per the PCBDDA CEO Imran Amin’s directions, 1,840 of the 2,000 retaining piles needed to finish the project have been completed, according to a news statement the authority released on Monday.

The technical team at CBD Punjab has already begun building a rainwater harvesting tank at St. Marry Park, while the sump pump and water well for the sewage water disposal station at Centre Point are almost finished.

Furthermore, the service lane in front of CBD Punjab has been blocked by the authority, and work on upgrading it has already begun while the authorities will soon finish moving the pipelines and electrical wires, it added.

For the convenience of cricket fans and Lahore residents, Imran Amin promised that the project would be finished within the allotted time frame and that all of the closed roads would be operational before the start of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Besides, in response to the authorities opening one lane of the Kalma Chowk Underpass for the convenience of commuters heading from Liberty Market towards Barkat Market, CBD Punjab and City Traffic Police (CTP) Lahore have also issued an amended traffic warning.
