The Capital Development Authority board held a meeting chaired by Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed regarding various issues including the bid of PKR 11 billion proposed by the Federal Works Organization to expand the Islamabad expressway from PWD to Grand Trunk (G.T) road.
The plan proposed by FWO will expand the Islamabad expressway from two lanes to four lanes. The existing Islamabad expressway will be further expanded by 7 kilometers along with the expansion of the Sohan Bridge.
The proposal was approved and a period of 18 months has been granted for execution.
