  1. The unwise replacement of traffic signals with U turns has added misery to the road user on Srinagar highway .The accident ratio has increased and wastage of resources in foreign finance, wastage of time and mental tension is tremendous. No body seems to have the time to look into it. We are rushing to New schemes but not caring for the existing.

    1. sorry to differ but replacement of signals with u turns has been very helpful. traffic flow is better now. no time wastage in traffic jams

    2. I think u turns on srinagar highway are one of the most cost effective and time saving project which keeps the traffic flow running all the time.

      1. The replacement of signals with dedicated u turns on Sarinagar highway are very much appreciated, However for sake of further improvement, provision of additinal lanes upto sarina chowk along with flyover will further improve the traffic flow and facilitate the road user

    3. Totally agreed. CDA is full of such morons who initiated such nonesense ideas. Eliminating two signal and adding crossings at every 4-5 km making life hazsrd, wasting fuel and time for daily commuters on this route in addition to mental torture

    4. I believe those U-turns are an amazing idea. Whoever came up with them, should be commended.

      Good work, CDA!

      1. Prof kayani,
1)The idea of replacement of U-turns on Srinagar Highway proved very dangerous n lethal, specially for bike users n Pedestrians. Almost it has become impossible for Pedestrians to cross the too long Srinagar Highway without any alternate . Therefore it is public demand that U- turns may be restored.
        2) Overhead bridges on Srinagar Highway serves only metro buses plying for airport, it is also demanded that these overhead bridges maybe opened for the pedestrian moving the Srinagar Highway.
It is prayed that these hazards n problems for general public may kindly be addressed on priority basis. I can also be appeared personally on any forum for detail briefings on this issue.

  2. Footpath, greenbelt and almost half of the road of both sides of Khush hal khan khattak road in G-7 is encroached by auto mechanics. Due to such encroachment causes traffic jam and polluted the environment. Concern cda authorities is requested to take action against such distortion.

  4. U-Turn philosophy on HIGHWAY or EXPRESS WAY is unheard off and uncalled off since it is suicidal.

I remember that the initial Maater Plan of Islamabad was signal free due to its natural lay out of ups and down.

Overhead bridge like the one at zero point is pretty cost saving due height on both sides of the bridge and it could have been easily built on Srinagar Highway to connect G-11 /H11 with Police line Road as is the underpass connecting G8/H8 with minimal cost.

Motto of CDA should be ” FACILITATING CITIZENS” instead of IRRITATING CITIZENS

  5. CDA sector F-16 has been left unattended for a decade. JKCHS allotted plots to the investors for which land has not yet been acquired over the past 10 years. CDA is requested to probe into the matter immediately for the redressal of the grievance of the citizens.

  6. Please pay some attention to G 15. For Gods sake, the sector is a total disaster. CDA should pay attention to residents living in these societies along way of GT road . Its so mismanaged

    1. Since more than last one year, residents of I-10/4 specially are passing their lives miserably due to heavy dust pollution every where by IJP road Construction on its one side and of Tenth Avenue construction on other side. The bridge on IJP Nullah Lai has been completed but no proper U Turns for the residents of I-10 and Khayaban have been designed as yet resulting traffic hazard on IJP road despite of widening of road. On the other side, the construction work on bridge of Nullah Lai on Tenth Avenue has been totally stoped for the reasons not known. Another negative development that the already available bridge on the West Service Road(I-9) of Tenth Avenue to connect I-9 to IJP road has been blocked to use. And now there is only one incomplete and half constructed overhead bridge to connect I-10 Markaz and I-9 Markaz has been opened temporarily which is always blocked by the both side traffic specially in the peak hours. It is earnestly requested that at least this bridge may be fully constructed and opened for traffic. Similarly the already bridge on west side of Tenth Avenue to connect I-9 and IJP road may also be opened immediately. Similarly The service road alongside of IJP road from Nullah Lai to 9th Avenue may be re-carpeted immediately which has now been damaged badly due to use of heavy machinery for the construction of IJP road.
At least, carpeting of this service road on urgent basis will lessen the miseries of the I-10 residents to some extent.
