CDA Enforces Stricter Duties to Handle Monsoon Emergencies

ISLAMABAD: In preparation for the monsoon rains and potential emergencies in the Federal Capital, the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Noor ul Amin Mengal, has taken decisive action.

The Chairman has canceled leaves for all officers and employees to ensure their presence in the field with modern machinery, monitoring water levels in drains and nullahs round-the-clock.

Furthermore, the CDA has also activated emergency response centers to promptly address any arising issues.

The news release further warns that strict action will be taken against any negligence in duties by the officers and staff.

Currently, there are no obstructions in the flow of water in the drains and nullahs, after the diligent work of special teams from the CDA, Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad, and the district administration deployed in various sectors and rural areas.

Moreover, the concerned staff in low-lying areas have been placed on high alert, with stricter duties assigned, to handle any potential emergencies that may arise during the monsoon season.
