CDA Issues Notice to Azam Swati’s Wife Over Illegal Construction

ISLAMABAD: The wife of PTI Senator Azam Swati, Tahira Swati, was given a final notice by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Wednesday due to an unauthorized and illegal building at her farm.

As per the details, the CDA stated in a notice sent out by its building control division that the owner of the farmhouse had seven more days to resolve the objections of the CDA.

The notice also referred to the show-cause notice that had been issued on November 4 and demanded the removal of a number of constructions, including unauthorized construction in the basement, and illegal constructions on the ground floor.

Besides, the CDA also stated that if the allottee’s response and reply are awaited and the infractions were not fixed in 7 days, the CDA would take forceful measures to remove them at the risk and expense of the allottee.

Furthermore, it has also been cautioned that additional penalties would be applied if the property did not comply within the allotted time, adding that, the property would be sealed off in such a scenario.

It is relevant to mention here that Ms. Swati owns plot 71 in the Orchard Scheme on Murree Road in Islamabad.
