ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) plans to develop modern parks in Islamabad to offer better recreational facilities to the residents.
In the last ten years, the CDA has developed 37 public parks, and the civic authority is working on a policy to increase their number in the coming years.
According to the CDA, it takes around three to four months to develop a new park after completing the formalities.
Currently, the federal capital has six amusement parks, which are considered adequate to cater to the recreational needs of the residents.
However, the CDA has decided to construct an amusement park in every new sector developed in Islamabad.
The sources confirmed that the authority was developing several new sectors, including I-11, I-12, I-14, I-15, I-16, D-12, and Park Enclave, where model villages and parks were also being developed.
The CDA aims to provide recreational facilities to the general public as per its approved layout plan.
As and when these areas are developed and completed, new parks will be established to meet the demand and requirements of the residents.
