CDA to Develop Waste Management System in Sector I-12

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to establish a cutting-edge waste management system in Sector I-12 to maintain the city’s cleanliness.

For this, the CDA has acquired land in Sector I-12 and begun surveying and assessing the capital’s present waste management system.

According to CDA sources, the authority is ensuring that the waste is disposed of in compliance with sanitary standards recognized worldwide.

The authority has established a structure that will be in place to guarantee that all trash is disposed of securely and hygienically.

The CDA has further encouraged Islamabad residents to remain cautious when disposing of their waste. The government has requested that citizens pack their garbage in the proper bags and dump it in the designated areas.

It is significant to mention that CDA is also developing a waste disposal facility in collaboration with the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) to resolve the waste disposal issue in the twin cities.
