CDWP Approves 10 Development Projects Worth PKR 87.17Bn

ISLAMABAD: The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) has given green light to 10 development projects worth PKR 87.17 billion.

The projects were related to various government departments, including Housing and Works, Communication, National Health Services, Higher Education Commission, and Science & Technology.

The following are the details of the projects approved by CDWP:

  • The Turbat-Mand Road Reconstruction project from Ratodero-Gwadar Motorway to Radeeq (Iranian border) has been approved with a cost of PKR 20,992.875 million.
  • The Pun Panjgur-Gichak-Awaran Road Construction in District Awaran has been approved at a cost of PKR 29,638.353 million.
  • The Niheng Bridge Completion project in Rodbun, District Kech, has been approved with a cost of PKR 673.688 million.
  • The Strengthening Institution for Refugee’s Administration has been approved with a cost of PKR 2,043 million.
  • The establishment of a Cancer Hospital in the Islamabad Capital Territory has been approved with a total cost of PKR 3,406.169 million.

  • The Mangopir Reconstruction project has been approved at a cost of PKR 3,190.432 million.
  • The 26-megawatt Shagharthang Hydropower Project Construction has been approved with a cost of PKR 17,972.902 million.
  • The Gwadar Safe City Project (Phase-1) has been approved with a cost of PKR 4,966.905 million.
  • The Development of Ziarat Town has been approved at a cost of PKR 5,558.545 million.
  • The establishment of the National Forensic Science Laboratory has been approved with a cost of PKR 1978.422 million.

At the meeting, the forum recommended the reconstruction of the Turbat-Mand Road, the construction of the Pun Panjgur-Gichak-Awaran Road, and the Shagharthang Hydropower project to be sent to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC).
