Chairman CDA Confident of Timely Completion of Development Projects

ISLAMABAD: Chairman CDA, Captain (Rtd) Muhammad Usman, has announced that all the development projects in Islamabad would be finished within the specified time.

While briefing the media about ongoing projects, he stated that the authorities had prioritized the IJP Road, expressway, and the expansion of the Marsala Road to be completed in a few months.

He added that despite the strict deadlines, the administration and the contractors were working day and night to complete the project within the given time.

Usman also revealed that currently, the authorities were developing five parking plazas to resolve the parking issues across the capital.

Additionally, he noted that the authority and the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) were in discussions to establish a new landfill site that would meet the needs of the city for the next 30 years.

It is important to mention that CDA is working closely with several contractors to accomplish city road infrastructure projects.

However, many projects have been considerably delayed due to problems with the contractors and a lack of funding.

Additionally, the federal govt has directed CDA to finish the development projects by the end of this year.
