ISLAMABAD: The Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Noor ul Amin Mengal, has taken to Twitter to address the issue of public parking spaces being occupied by car showrooms.
In a poll, he asked the public for their opinion on whether or not showrooms like Century Motors should be allowed to use parking spots that are meant for general use.

However, it seems that the public has spoken, as the Chairman announced the next day that showroom owners will no longer be permitted to use public parking spaces.
He stated that the district administration has been given clear directives to take appropriate action and ensure that the new rule is enforced.

The Chairman has also shared his plans for the CDA to focus on developing sectors that have been overlooked in the past and bringing them up to the same standard as sectors like F6 and F7.
With these plans in motion, the city’s infrastructure and amenities will hopefully see significant improvements in the near future.
The Chairman’s proactive approach to addressing these issues has been met with positive feedback from the public, who have expressed their appreciation for his efforts to improve the city’s livability.
