ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has once again initiated a crackdown on showroom owners who have encroached upon public spaces and parking.
The Chairman of CDA, Noor Ul Amin Mengal, recently declared that shop owners found illegally occupying public spaces and parking will face severe consequences, including the cancellation of their shop licenses.
Chairman Mengal took to Twitter to announce the stringent measures being taken against the encroachers.

Sharing a video from a recent operation conducted during the night, he highlighted the efforts undertaken by the CDA to combat this issue.
This action follows a series of initiatives undertaken by the CDA in recent months.
In February, Chairman Mengal sought public opinion through a poll on whether showrooms, such as Century Motors, should be permitted to utilize parking spots intended for general use.
Subsequently, Chairman Mengal made it clear that he had provided explicit instructions to the district administration to enforce the new rule rigorously.
The CDA is determined to ensure showroom owners adhere to regulations and no longer encroach upon public spaces and parking areas.
The CDA’s latest crackdown sends a strong message to showroom owners who have taken undue advantage of public areas.
It underscores the importance of adhering to regulations and reinforces the authority’s commitment to creating a more organized and accessible urban environment for all residents.
