LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid a visit to the site of the Akbar Chowk flyover project to assess its progress.
During the visit, he received a briefing on the ongoing work and issued instructions to expedite the construction process to ensure timely completion.
Emphasizing the importance of maintaining a smooth flow of traffic, the Chief Minister directed authorities to make special arrangements to minimize disruptions during the construction phase.
The construction of U-turns adjacent to the flyover project is also progressing rapidly, which will facilitate convenient transportation for millions of motorists.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that once the project is completed, it will effectively address the issue of traffic congestion, bringing a permanent solution to this longstanding problem.
Furthermore, Naqvi emphasized the need to prioritize the protection of trees in the area.
He also assured that preserving the greenery and ensuring environmental sustainability remains key aspect of the project.
The Chief Minister was briefed on the project’s progress by Lahore Commissioner and LDA DG, while several ministers and officials were also present during the visit.
