LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi has authorized the Lahore Elevated Expressway project.
The CM also urged the authorities to launch the interchange Expressway project from Gulberg to Babu Sabu at the earliest.
In a meeting held at the CM secretariat, the CM stated that the elevated expressway project would surely make a considerable change in the outlook of Lahore.
Additionally, a proposal to run electric buses in the city also received the Minister’s approval.
He also suggested the authorities plan commercial centers along the sides of the expressway.
According to the details, the said expressway will cost almost PKR 85 billion and will enable commuters to travel from east to west of the city saving them a lot of time.
The authorities also claim that the expressway will benefit more than 80,000 vehicles at a time and will also reduce distance by several kilometers.
