LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi will be inaugurating the Shahkam Flyover on Thursday.
This three-lane one-way flyover is 600 meters long and can handle more than 100,000 vehicles daily.
Additionally, the project connects Multan Road, Jubilee Town, and Canal Road Traffic.
According to the details, the government issued an amount of PKR 4.98 billion for this project which was planned to be opened in march but due to the increasing building costs, it was delayed by seven months.
It is vital to mention that the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has sought funds for the construction of flyovers, signal-free corridors, and underpasses in busy areas to cater to the city’s bottlenecks.
The projects are expected to begin during the current development year.
