LAHORE: Commissioner and LDA DG Muhammad Ali Randhawa visited the construction sites of 2 major development projects in Lahore on Monday.
He inspected the progress of the Shahdara Chowk flyover and the Gulshan Ravi T Junction underpass.
During his visit, he directed the officials to speed up the work and ensure that the construction meets high standards.
Chief Engineer Israr Saeed Khan and relevant project directors briefed the commissioner on the projects’ progress.
They informed that Shahdara Chowk had been closed for traffic, and additional traffic personnel was appointed for citizens’ guidance and to implement the devised traffic plan effectively.
The commissioner appealed to citizens to follow the traffic advisory to avoid unnecessary rush and traffic closures.
Completing the Shahdara project would improve the flow of traffic at the entry and exit points of the city, he claimed.
He also said that constructing the Gulshan Ravi T Junction underpass would benefit thousands of vehicles every day and provide great convenience to citizens in that area.
The Commissioner further directed officials to begin working on the proposal of constructing a U-turn between Babu Sabu and Niazi Interchange.
Besides, the Chief Engineer Israr Saeed Khan, Additional DG Headquarters Imran Ali, project directors, Nespak Engineers, and concerned officers accompanied the commissioner during his visit.
