LAHORE: Commissioner Lahore, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, has assured that the proposed elevated expressway project and Wasa’s tunnel boring project have been thoroughly reviewed for compatibility.
He stated that these projects will not face any future constraints due to capacity limitations.
During a meeting held to review the proposed projects, Commissioner Randhawa emphasized that the design of the elevated expressway will accommodate the intersections proposed in the Wasa project.
The design will also incorporate space under the pillars as per the requirements of Wasa.
He highlighted that both projects are of great significance for the city and will contribute to its development.
The meeting provided further details, stating that the journey from Main Boulevard Gulberg to the motorway toll plaza via the elevated expressway will only take 10 minutes.
Additionally, the length of the Wasa Trenchless Technology Drain, which will utilize tunnel boring, spans 28 kilometers from Larex Colony to Gulshan Ravi.
Besides, the meeting was attended by MD Wasa, Ghafran Ahmed, Chief Engineer LDA, Asrar Saeed, Director Development Javed Rashid Chauhan, and others.
