Commissioner Lahore and DG LDA Review Progress of Ongoing and Proposed Projects

LAHORE: The Commissioner and DG LDA Mohammad Ali Randhawa chaired a meeting to review the progress of ongoing and proposed projects in the city.

The attendees were briefed on the status of several major projects, including the Lahore Bridge expansion, the Samanabad underpass, and the Gasahedra multi-level flyover.

According to the officials, the Lahore Bridge expansion project is expected to be completed by May 31, 2023, while work on the Samanabad underpass is progressing rapidly and is expected to be completed soon.

Similarly, work on the Gasahedra multi-level flyover is underway to ensure timely completion.

During the meeting, Commissioner Lahore emphasized the need to expedite the construction of roads adjacent to Sigian Road, Phool Chowk, Faizpur Interchange, and Kot Abdul Malik. He instructed the concerned authorities to prioritize these projects and complete them as soon as possible.

The officials also reviewed the progress of the Gulberg Signal Free Corridor and Bedian Road Underpass, both of which are significant projects aimed at easing traffic flow in the city.

The meeting participants were also briefed on the restoration and beautification project of important roads of Lahore city.

These infrastructure projects are expected to provide significant relief to the citizens of Lahore, who have long suffered from traffic congestion and poor road conditions.

With the timely completion of these projects, the city is poised for a more efficient and comfortable transportation system.
