Commissioner Multan Reviews Development Projects in Khanewal

KHANEWAL: Commissioner Aamir Khattak of Multan Division paid an unannounced visit to Khanewal city to assess the progress of ongoing development projects.

During the visit, Deputy Commissioner Waseem Hamid Sindhu briefed the Commissioner on the project advancements.

The Commissioner expressed his appreciation for the establishment of an autism center at Khanewal Public School and College in South Punjab, commending the efforts of the district administration.

The Commissioner inspected the construction work of three roads under the Punjab Stage Program in Khanewal city and also reviewed the ongoing work at the gymkhana.

He assigned the officers the task of rigorous monitoring to ensure transparency in the projects. During his visit, the Commissioner also examined the renovation of the city gate site for Urban Forestry.

Present at the occasion were Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Azuba Azim, Deputy Director Development Shahid Rahman, Assistant Commissioner Sadaf Akbar, Principal KPS Hafiz Rao Muhammad Rashid Saeed Rana, and other officers.

Later, the Commissioner visited the District Headquarters Hospital and interacted with the doctors, staff, patients, and their relatives at the trauma center and wards.

He inquired about the facilities provided to the patients. The Commissioner emphasized that the district administration has directed the autism center management to provide education and training to special children in accordance with modern requirements.

He further urged involving philanthropists to enhance facilities and promote sports activities in the gymkhana. The Commissioner stressed the importance of completing all projects promptly for the convenience of citizens.

Deputy Commissioner Waseem Hamid Sindhu provided a briefing, highlighting that three road projects in Khanewal are currently underway under the Punjab Cities Program, with the Commissioner personally monitoring the progress. Additionally, fruit trees will be planted in the Urban Forestry area.

Furthermore, a meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, chaired by Commissioner Aamir Khattak of Multan Division. During the meeting, the Commissioner acknowledged the role of the private sector in the construction and development of Khanewal.

GM Jadid Feeds Tahir Bhatti, HR Manager Nestlé, President of the Petroleum Association Humayun Khan, and President of the Flour Mills Association Hammad Shah were also present.
