Completion of Gujrat-Sambrial-Kharian Motorway In 2 Years Assured

LAHORE: In a meeting to examine the ongoing construction of the Gujrat-Kharian-Sambrial Motorway, Zahid Akhtar Zaman, senior member board of revenue, Punjab (SMBR), assured that the project would be completed in due time.

The SMBR requested that the concerned bodies complete the motorway alignment at the earliest, adding that the DCs immediately turn over the necessary land to the appropriate authorities.

He said that the 69-kilometer-long Gujrat-Sambrial-Kharian motorway was being constructed for the benefit of the residents and business community.

He continued by saying that a 35 km section of the motorway’s first phase of development had already begun from Kharian while advising the DCs to rehabilitate link roads connecting the motorway.

Zaman emphasized that the quality of the material being used must not be compromised and the process of aligning the highway bridge at Head Marala should also be finished in time.

The SMBR also chaired a meeting to discuss the Pulse Pilot Project, which was launched in Lahore.

According to him, every house in the metropolitan area would be given a unique number under the Pulse pilot project, and the corners of each “khasra” will receive a GPS number, after which, the data would be gathered by teams through which each mauza’s khasra number, ownership, and area count would be tallied.

The citizens would be able to access information about their property online while seated at home, he added.
