MANSEHRA: In an unusual move, a contractor in Mansehra pulled apart the bridge he built, following non-payment of dues.
According to reports, the Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) awarded a contract to a local contractor to rebuild a bridge that was washed away in the recent floods in Mansehra’s Munawar Valley.
To express his rage after failing to receive his dues from the authority, the contractor tore apart the bridge he built.
The KDA, on the other hand, has stated that they had no involvement in the construction of the bridge at Munawar Nullah and the authority only provided funds for the installation of a chairlift in the area.
It is worth mentioning that the recent torrential rains swept away heavy infrastructure in northern areas of the country damaging the lives and property of the people.
