LAHORE: On Tuesday, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Omar Jahangir instructed authorities to seal commercial properties in Lahore that were found to have dengue larvae on their premises.
The DC stated that the district administration was carrying out anti-dengue vector surveillance to prevent the spread of the disease after recent rainfall in the area.
He also urged the health department to use all available resources to control the spread of dengue fever.
Furthermore, he requested officials to intensify dengue-related activities in both public and residential areas.
The public has also been urged to keep their surroundings clean and dry to prevent the breeding of dengue mosquitoes.
