LAHORE: The Punjab Central Business District Development Authority has started the development of the Central Business District Punjab Boulevard and Kalma Chowk underpass.
The development work is expected to finish in 30 days, and therefore the Kalma Chowk underpass will be closed to the general public.
The CBD has asked the city administration to come up with a plan to control the traffic coming from the center point and main boulevard.
Note, that the following routes can be used during the construction.
- For the traffic going from Barkat market towards Liberty Market, one side of the road will be open.
- Service lanes can be used while traveling from Firdous Market, Ali Zaib Road, Barkat Market, and Ferozepur Road.
- Traffic heading towards Liberty from Model town will be rerouted around Gaddafi Stadium.
It is important to mention that the project also plans to clear pathways for the residents of the Falcon Society.
Furthermore, the CBD has ensured that the restoration will be completed within 30 days and the blockages will soon be cleared for traffic.
