Development Work Underway in Karachi to Improve Drainage System

KARACHI: The Sindh government’s spokesman, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, took to Twitter to announce the ongoing construction work for developing and rehabilitating a stormwater drain in Karachi.

According to Wahab’s tweet, the drain will facilitate the smooth drainage of water from the Katti Pahari area through KDA Chowrangi into Gujjar Naala.

He further stated that the people of Karachi have chosen to support such development work instead of resorting to protests and sit-ins.

This announcement comes as Karachi is currently facing its monsoon season, which often leads to flooding in many parts of the city.
