RAWALPINDI: The Director General of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, has warned the public not to invest in illegal housing societies.
The RDA spokesperson announced that the director had instructed the Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) directorate to issue notices to the owners of two illegal housing schemes, Capital Valley and Joshua Town Private Limited, in Rawalpindi, in accordance with the Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976 and the Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Scheme Rules 2021.
Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa has also directed the Director of MP&TE to take action against illegal advertisements and to file FIRs against these two illegal housing schemes.
The Planning Wing RDA has submitted applications to the police to register FIRs against these schemes.
It has also requested the Cyber Crime Wing of the FIA to take legal action against the illegal and misleading advertisements to protect the public from falling victim to these scams.
