ISLAMABAD: Samantha Power, the administrator of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), spoke with Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Washington on the response to the recent floods in Pakistan.
As per the details, the administrator of USAID reaffirmed the dedication of the organization to offering communities affected by flooding life-saving aid.
Samantha received praise from the Foreign Minister for her prompt and considerable humanitarian reaction, which was essential for saving lives, said the sources.
Besides, the Foreign Minister also met with Senators Lindsey Graham, Bob Menendez, Jeanne Shaheen, and Tim Kaine during this time, and expressed his gratitude for the US assistance provided to Pakistan in the areas of relief, rehabilitation, and reconstruction following the floods.
Additionally, Bilawal added that Congress was actively helping the flood-related recovery, rehabilitation, and reconstruction in a sustainable and resilient way.
