Grey Structure of Shaukat Khanum Hospital Karachi Completes

KARACHI: According to Dr. Aasim Yusuf, Chief Medical Officer of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust, the physical work on the Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Karachi has been completed, which is anticipated to open in late 2023.

A statement claims that the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, which was established and funded by charitable contributions from all over the world, has served as a symbol of hope for people with cancer in Pakistan and the surrounding since 1994.

Furthermore, the Joint Commission International (JCI) awarded SKMT the Gold Seal of Approval in the Enterprise Accreditation category in 2022, which is a tribute to the highest levels of clinical quality made available to all patients over 75% of whom receive care at no cost.

Dr. Asim also provided an update on the new hospital, stating that final work is currently being done on the Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Karachi, which is scheduled to open in late 2023 while the physical structure has been completed.

The hospital will be manned by highly qualified personnel and will be furnished with the most up-to-date medical equipment for both diagnosis and treatment, he added.

Besides, the hospital, which is twice as big as of Lahore facility, will treat patients from Balochistan as well as from Karachi and other parts of Sindh.
