Housing Challenges in Focus as Pakistan Observer Chief Meets Federal Secretary

ISLAMABAD: Faisal Zahid Malik, the Editor-in-Chief of Pakistan Observer, recently met with Federal Secretary for Housing and Works, Iftikhar Ali Shallwani, to address matters of mutual interest and the housing challenges faced by the public.

During the meeting, Secretary Shallwani expressed the government’s commitment to providing affordable housing units to the public, mentioning that several projects are already in progress.

Secretary Shallwani extended his gratitude to Faisal Zahid Malik for raising awareness about public grievances through Pakistan Observer.

Recognizing the role of media in reflecting public sentiments and aspirations, he acknowledged that the newspaper’s coverage helps identify people’s problems, leading to corrective measures.

In response, Faisal Zahid Malik thanked Secretary Shallwani for the opportunity to discuss important issues.

He highlighted that Pakistan Observer, being the oldest English newspaper in Islamabad, has always prioritized raising awareness about matters of public interest.

Additionally, he mentioned the late founder and Editor-in-Chief, Zahid Malik, who considered journalism a sacred mission.
