LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB)’s housing society investigation into Farhat Shehzadi, alias Farah Gogi, has been contested by her in Lahore High Court (LHC).
The details indicate that Farhat Shehzadi, a close friend of former first lady Bushra Bibi, has filed a lawsuit in LHC over NAB letters that were delivered to her in the housing society fraud.
She claimed in a petition that the anti-graft agency had restarted the investigation that had been concluded in 2019.
Moreover, the petition also claimed that the bureau’s decision to restart the investigation was motivated by political victimization.
She requested the court to throw out the contested call-up notifications and the inquiry, since they were ‘illegal and are made out of the constitutional domain’.
