MULTAN: The Housing, Urban Development, and Public Health Engineering (HUD&PHE) department of south Punjab released data on the extent of flood damage and relief items distributed to flood affectees in DG Khan, Kot Chutta, Taunsa Sharif, and Koh-e-Suleman.
According to a statement, 48 people died as a result of floods over the Sulaiman Mountain Range, 430 people were injured, and 900 cattle heads were killed.
As per the details, 24,684 houses were damaged, and 212,838 people were affected.
The data of relief activities showed that in 17 relief camps, 42,720 ration bags, 13,085 tents, and 2,360 daigs (cauldrons) of cooked food have been distributed.
According to a spokesman, heavy machinery and human resources are being used for the rehabilitation of affected areas, and philanthropists are actively supporting these relief and rehabilitation efforts in aid of flood victims.
Furthermore, 534 tents, 100 plastic sheets, over 10,900 water bottles, and 9,067 ration bags were distributed to the affected people, as per the data.
