IHC Orders Civil Servants to Vacate Government Residences

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court has instructed the civil servants who are residing in the government-allocated residences.

The orders have been issued for civil servants who are holding more than one residence.

The Islamabad High Court has also asked the Estate Office to provide a list of govt and federal servants who have had multiple residences for more than three months.

The court also stated that government servants misuse their privileges by holding more than one residential unit creating shortages of residences for other employees.

It is important to note that the government makes allotment of residential units to government servants at lesser rents and discounted utility costs which is a great benefit for them and their families.
