RAWALPINDI: Sources report that goons of an illegal housing society launched a brazen armed attack on the Defense Housing Authority (DHA) in Chakri, injuring security guard Akhter Hussain.
Furthermore, 2 sheep of a local landlord were also killed in the incident, while the attack was allegedly carried out to forcefully grab a piece of land.
A complaint has been lodged against 16 armed goons and their abettors with the Police Station (PS) Chakri for the registration of an FIR.
The City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani has taken notice of the firing incident and ordered strict action against the culprits to maintain law and order in Chontra and Chakri.
Besides, the police have launched an investigation into the allegations and have inspected the crime scene.
The attackers are said to have been on the behest of the CEO of illegal housing society Chaudhry Saad Nazir, his brother Burair Nazir, and three directors Chaudhry Nahim Ijaz, Chaudhry Nadim Ijaz, and Chaudhry Wasim Ijaz to grab the land of DHA illegally.
