Alongside this, a plan for the restoration of flood-affected districts has been created by the KP Planning and Development (P&D) Department and given to the appropriate forum for approval.

The P&D sources estimate that the KP government would need Rs. 162 billion for the post-disaster reconstruction program, of which Rs. 120 billion would go toward the building of new infrastructure.

The first phase of the infrastructure improvement program would include 13 administrative departments of the KP, as 5 departments, including local government, higher education, food, multi-sector development, and finance have not been able to secure foreign assistance to rebuild their infrastructure after the floods.

It is worth noting that the disastrous floods resulted in 309 deaths, 369 injuries, 94,464 houses being damaged, and 67,4318 people displaced.
