Lahore Development Authority Recovers Millions of Rupees in Assets from Mafia in Operation

LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) accomplished a significant operation, recovering valuable assets worth millions of rupees from the mafia’s grip.

The operation specifically targeted petrol pump sites and shops that were unlawfully occupied by the mafia

According to the spokesperson of LDA, the operation was executed with precision and efficiency by the team supporting the LDA officials.

The primary focus of the operation was a 3 Kanal plot housing a petrol pump site in Main College Road Township.

This property had been leased out but suffered from consistent non-payment of dues.

Taking action in line with the directives from the Lahore High Court, the LDA seized and repossessed the site, thus ending the mafia’s unlawful hold over the valuable land.

The spokesperson revealed that the petrol pump site had been entangled in legal battles due to continuous defaulting on lease payments.

Additionally, the LDA teams also targeted 14 shops located near the Walton Road Packages Mall.

These shops had fallen into the hands of unauthorized occupants who had illegally seized the premises.

Furthermore, the seized shops had been subjected to prolonged illegal occupancy, resulting in financial losses and impeding lawful business activities.

The objective of the operation carried out by the LDA was to curb such illicit practices and enforce the rule of law, the spokesperson added.
