LAHORE: A case was heard at the Lahore High Court Bahawalpur Bench regarding a man who had filed a petition alleging that the Cholistan Development Authority (CDA) had not fulfilled its obligation to provide him with employment.
According to sources, the complainant claimed that as mandated by rule A-17, he was not given employment in the department despite repeated requests.
The petition was brought to the court’s attention during a hearing presided over by Senior Judge Anwar-Ul-Haque Punnoon under a single bench of the LHC Bahawalpur.
During the hearing, the MD CDA was summoned to appear before the court and was asked to address the issue raised in the petition.
In response, the MD CDA gave an assurance to the court that the petitioner would be provided with a job by rule A-17.
The sources confirmed that the court considered this assurance enough to satisfy the case and, as a result, the petition was disposed of.
Besides, the lawyers after the hearing commented that the decision highlighted the importance of following rules and regulations, as well as the role of the judiciary in ensuring citizens’ rights.
They also stated that the petitioner had his grievances addressed and received the employment he was entitled to through the assurance given by the MD CDA and the decision made by the LHC Bahawalpur Bench.
