LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has announced the opening of Lahore’s Walk & Shop Arena, located near Mian Plaza on the Main Boulevard of Johar Town next month, after a two-year delay.
The government has instructed the LDA to auction shops, malls, restaurants, and other facilities within the project.
The Walk & Shop Arena covers an area of 130 kanals and incorporates architectural themes from Spanish, Italian, Chinese, American, and Mughal design principles.
The area boasts an amusement park spanning 15 kanals, just one of the many attractions visitors can enjoy. Other notable features include an amphitheater, pergolas, water channels, a music kiosk, food kiosks, a flower fair, a kids’ playground, mini-golf, a haunted house, a carousel, a Ferris wheel, joy rides, and rock-climbing activities.
In addition to these attractions, the Walk & Shop Arena will also house a mega shopping mall, shops, restaurants, courtyards, sitting areas, and a parking facility capable of accommodating 500 vehicles and 500 motorcycles.
The LDA will be floating the project for auction next month, and investors are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.
It is important to note that the Walk & Shop Arena is expected to generate significant revenue for the government and local businesses while providing citizens with a new and exciting leisure destination.
