PESHAWAR: The acquisition process for the 30-kilometer Dir Motorway has begun, and a committee has also been formed to overcome any impediments and ensure the acquisition process is completed on time.
According to a statement released on Sunday, it was revealed at a meeting with Chief Minister Mahmood Khan that a status review of major projects in the province’s road sector would be done.
Furthermore, Dir Motorway, Peshawar-DI Khan Motorway, Swat Motorway Phase 2, Madyan Bypass, Bahrain Bypass, and other projects were also discussed at the meeting.
The participants were informed that the Dir Motorway would have four lanes and two tunnels, with a total length of 30 kilometers, according to the initial tentative allocation.
Under the project, two tunnels for the motorway would also be built; one in Dara Adamkhel and the other in the Karak district, as announced during the meeting.
Speaking at the event, Mahmood Khan stated that his administration was working to connect all of the districts through motorways, which would not only give the public access to quality transportation but also create a favorable environment for the growth of commercial activity.
