Lasbela Chamber Urges NHA to Begin Restoration Work on Hub River Bridge

KARACHI: The Lasbela Chamber of Commerce and Industry has asked the National Highway Authority to start restoration work on the Hub River bridge and causeways.

According to the details, a meeting was held to discuss the matter and to come up with a final solution.

Last year, the bridge collapsed due to devastating floods, and the work was scheduled to start in September 2022.

President LCCI stated that the bridge was the only route that connected the Lasbela District in Sindh to Balochistan.

Due to the inordinate delay in the bridge restoration, the commute has been difficult for the public. As a result, production has been slowed down, decreasing the Government’s revenue stream.

In the meeting, the LCCI urged the NHA officials to start the work on the bridge on an immediate basis as it has already been delayed.

Furthermore, Deputy Commissioner Lasbela Murad Khan Kansi, Assistant Commissioner Lasbela, members of the Lasbela Chamber, and NHA officials were present at the meeting.
